St Kevins will look to retain their AIB Leinster Junior B title when the play Aughrim on Sunday
A busy weekend lies ahead in the AIB Leinster Club Championships with 2 Finals and 4 Semi Finals to be played.
The action gets underway on Saturday at 2.00 pm with the Senior and Intermediate Semi Finals throwing in.
In Kilkenny, it’s a clash of modern day big hitters of Leinster with 5 in a row Dublin Champions, St Vincents taking on the current Leinster Champions Dicksboro and in Offaly it’s a clash of newly crowed County Champions with Shinrone hosting Wexford’s St Martins.
Last weekend, Clonkill knocked out last year’s Intermediate Finalists, Na Fianna and their reward is a trip to Kilkenny to take on Emeralds. The second semi final is a clash of 2 teams who are on significant winning streaks in their counties when Knockananna go head to head with Naas.
On Sunday, there is a double header of Junior Finals in Castletown Geoghan. The current Leinster Junior B Champions, St Kevin play Aughrim with throw in at 12.15 pm. Following that is the Junior A Final between Westmeath’s Crookedwood playing Clough/Ballacolla from Laois in the Junior A Final. Both teams earned their place in the Final after tough Semi Finals so it leaves a mouth watering Final in store.
