Leinster Camogie, in proud partnership with Leinster GAA, is delighted to announce a landmark collaboration that will see elite Camogie showcased on the biggest stage of the provincial championship calendar.

This exciting initiative will introduce a high-profile curtain-raiser to the Leinster Senior Hurling Championship, marking a significant and progressive step forward for the visibility and growth of Camogie across the province.

For the first time in a number of years, Leinster’s top Camogie athletes will have the opportunity to perform in front of some of the most passionate and dedicated supporters in the country, experiencing the electric atmosphere that defines championship matchdays. This partnership represents a powerful alignment between both organisations, reinforcing a shared commitment to promoting Gaelic games at every level.

Following extensive consideration of potential fixtures, it has been confirmed that one double-header will take place in 2026, with ambitious plans already underway to expand the initiative further in 2027.

Confirmed Fixture:

  • Quarter-Final: Offaly v Dublin
    Date: Sunday, 19th April
    Venue: Glenisk O’Connor Park
A hugely anticipated opening encounter, setting the stage ahead of the Offaly v Dublin Leinster Senior Hurling Championship clash.

Speaking on the announcement, Leinster Camogie Chairperson Martin Quilty said:

“Our players have long relished the opportunity to perform on Leinster Championship matchdays and to experience the unique atmosphere that comes with packed stadiums. These occasions are hugely important in elevating the profile of camogie and showcasing the skill, passion, and excellence of our athletes to a wider audience.”

“While we are thrilled to secure this opportunity for 2026, planning is already underway to build on this momentum for the 2027 season. This is an extremely positive development for camogie in the province, and I would like to sincerely thank Michael Reynolds and his team for their outstanding leadership and support in making this happen.”

This collaboration signals a new era of opportunity for camogie in Leinster, placing its athletes firmly at the heart of the championship experience and inspiring the next generation of players and supporters alike.
