The Knockananna team that booked their place in the AIB Intermediate Semi Finals when the overcame Craanford/Monaseed
The picture has become a lot clearer in the AIB Club Championships after the latest round of matches this weekend.
In the Junior A Championship, the finalists are now confirmed after two competitive Semi Finals.
On Saturday Ballinamere/Durrow had the better of the first half and lead by three points at the break but Clough/Ballacolla dominated the second half and went on to win by the same margin.
It was a similarly close affair in the second Semi Final and with 5 minutes to go the teams were level but a goal from Roisin Killian was the deciding score that helped seal the win for Crookedwood over Johnstownbridge.
In the Intermediate Quarter Finals, Knockananna overcame Craanford/Monaseed and three second half goals for Clonkill saw them win over last year’s Leinster Finalists, Na Fianna.
Kilkenny’s Emeralds are playing in the Leinster Championship for the first time and their adventure continues after they beat Mount Leinster Rangers on Sunday.
Meanwhile in Naas, the home team proved to be too strong for Ballinteer St Johns to book themselves a place in the upcoming Semi Finals
